The National Park Authority produce a variety of publications
that offer information on a range of topics related to the National Park.
Our magazine A'
phàirc and the State
of the Park Report 2005 are fantastic resources and provide a wealth of
information on the National Park's geology, ecology, geography, communities,
environmental issues and conservation activity. Our Research
documents examine particular issues in more detail within these areas.

UK Biodiversity Action PlanThe United Kingdom Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP) is the governmental response to the Convention on Biological Diversity. It describes the UK's biological resources and commits a detailed plan for the protection of these resources.
Centre for Ecology and Hydrology
The Centre for Ecology & Hydrology (CEH) is the UK's Centre of Excellence for research in the land and freshwater environmental sciences.
Young People’s Trust for the Environment
The Young People's Trust for the Environment is a charity which aims to encourage young people's understanding of the environment and the need for sustainability.

In the future, the National Park Authority aims to offer
work placements for school pupils or students looking to experience working for

Why not become a volunteer for the National Park? It's a
fantastic way to gain practical experience in many of the different jobs in the
