We Launch our Biodiversity Action Plan! 19/03/09
Hi, I
was really proud to launch the National Park Biodiversity Action Plan today at the David Marshall Lodge in Aberfoyle. The weather was
fantastic and gave us stunning views of our National Park. The Plan will help
protect some of the most iconic habitats and species in Loch Lomond & The
Trossachs.
I
can assure you that this is not a stuffy document but a real on the ground
three-year plan that sets out a series of actions for the Park’s diverse range
of habitats and species, including black grouse, otters, red squirrels and
water voles. It also details programmes for dealing with invasive species
such as rhododendron.
