Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park - Welcome

Ice Safety Reminder

Changes in the weather conditions across the National Park recently have left many lochs and rivers partly frozen. The risk of people falling through ice will greatly increase as temperatures fluctuate and we alternate between freezing and thawing. As there is no way of telling how strong the ice is, we would urge you to take care and avoid stepping on any frozen body of water as you may put yourself and others in danger.

Dog owners are also urged to keep their pets firmly on a leash and away from the edge of the water.

The National Park Authority encourages the public to continue to enjoy all the Park has to offer but to do so as safely and responsibly as possible.
