The Local Access Forum's main function is to advise the Authority and/or the public on strategic issues on implementation of the right of responsible access over most land and water provided by the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003. It also advises on core paths planning, rights of way, issues around the exercising of access rights and management of outdoor access. It may also advise on other access related work in the National Park such as signage standards.
