National Park Authority Board

Convener Dr Mike Cantlay and Deputy Convener Colin O'Brien were elected for three years by the National Park Authority at their meeting on 08 June 2009.

The Board of the National Park Authority has 23 members and is made up as follows:

Five members elected by a postal ballot of the local electorate in June 2006 for a period of four years:

Russell Bruce representing Ward 1
Owen McKee representing Ward 2
Mike Luti representing Ward 3
Willie Nisbet representing Ward 4
Iain Wragg representing Ward 5

Eight members appointed by Scottish Ministers (following assessment of applicants in accordance with the rules issued by the Office of the Commissioner for Public Appointments in Scotland):
