Tourism Strategy
We are currently developing a Tourism Strategy for Loch
Lomond & The Trossachs National Park; this will provide strategic direction
to the quality, management and value of sustainable tourism in the Park area
and focus National Park involvement in tourism development.
The National Park Partnership Plan 2012-2017 sets the context for tourism growth and the Adopted Local Plan 2010-2015 directs development spatially. A tourism
strategy is required to provide one document with an ordered framework for collaboration
between stakeholders to focus on the tourism element within these plans.
Following stakeholder consultations it is expected to have the strategy
finalised by spring 2013.
As part of this process we had to decide whether a
Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) was required under the Environmental Assessment (Scotland) Act 2005.
It was determined that it was not. The screening report, determination and
