Our award-winning Communications team is expanding, so we’re looking for a Communications Adviser to join the fast-paced, driven team of experts dedicated to promoting and making the most of what the National Park has to offer.
You’ll have a background in marketing, communications, or similar, working across the marketing disciplines.
With experience of dealing with the media (either in an agency, in-house or as a journalist) you’ll be up to speed with the latest media landscape and how to make the right connections to reach a broad range of audiences. You’ll know how to use digital and social media to extend the reach of your work. Your copywriting skills will be top notch: you know how to engage and inspire, and you’ll have that crucial eye for detail. As well as working as part a team you’ll have experience of leading and delivering all elements of communications projects.
To work in this type of role you have to be flexible and responsive: you’ll know how to stay calm under pressure in order to get top quality work out the door on time. Your background working with or in the media will mean you have the skills to help others to prepare for media interviews and to convey key messages clearly and concisely.
