Job Title: Peatland Action Project Officer

Salary: £28,485-£34,290 (plus excellent benefits)

Working Hours: 37 (Monday – Friday) – we support the “Happy to Talk Flexible Working” campaign

Contract: Fixed term until end of March 2018

We have an exciting opportunity for a Peatland Action Project Officer to join our team; this is a great opportunity to join a fast paced and high performing organisation at a truly exciting time for Scotland’s National Parks.

You will lead the development and implementation of peatland restoration projects within the National Park in partnership with land managers. This will involve working with colleagues, partners, contractors and land managers across the National Park to identify projects which improve the peatland resource, lock up carbon and improve associated habitats such as blanket bog, wet heath and dry heath.

With a relevant degree, you will have direct experience of peatland management and restoration techniques and a track record in all aspects of project, budget and contract management. In addition to this you will be an excellent communicator with experience in developing and maintaining positive working relationships with a wide ranging team to deliver partnership initiatives.
