Land Management Adviser

We are looking for a Land Management & Estates Adviser who is motivated by achieving results on the ground for the rural land and property sector to work predominantly within our Land Use Team, but also our Estates Team. In this role you will develop strong relationships with managers of private and public land and property, providing practical and viable land management advice and facilitating a joined-up approach to the provision and management of commercial activities on land and water in the National Park, including recreation.

Salary: £28,203 – £33,950 per annum (Band D)
Working hours: 30 hours/4 days per week
Location: Based at National Park Headquarters, Balloch

You will have experience in and specialist knowledge of land management, conservation and/or rural business, and the ability to develop constructive relationships with land managers, landlords and tenants, as well as other key partners in order to develop and deliver integrated land and property management which achieves best value. This role would suit a Rural Practice Surveyor with varied experience including business development and diversification.

We are looking for someone who has the ability to demonstrate sound independent judgement and understand how to approach, advise and influence stakeholders and senior staff. You will be confident, credible, proactive and creative when driving quality improvement and good practice within your area of responsibility.
