Capacity Grant

We wish to support the core services provided by Community Development Trusts.

Who can apply?

If you are a Community Development Trust working in Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, you may be eligible for a Capacity Grant award to develop the capacity and strength of your organisation.

Please read this Capacity Grant Application Form in full before completion, including the:

  1. Eligibility Criteria
  2. Eligible Expenditure
  3. Monitoring

What will the grant pay for?

The Capacity Grant aims to support the core running costs of your organisation and to strengthen the capacity of the volunteers and staff who run it. Examples of expenditure:

  • insurance costs
  • membership drives
  • consultation initiatives
  • promotion or marketing of Trust activities
  • venue hire for Trust meetings
  • printing and postage
  • professional fees
  • training and support for directors, volunteers or staff

The National Park Authority will not fund: statutory obligations of Community Councils, IT equipment, retrospective costs, project costs, ongoing staff salary costs, general refreshments.

Remember that:

If your organisation receives Capacity Grant funding, we reserve the right to contact you and ask you to provide evidence of expenditure on eligible costs, such as a statement of accounts and receipts. We may also ask to meet to discuss the effectiveness of your governance arrangements and to identify any support you may need.

Applications must be completed in full (with signatures) by the deadline and late applications will not be funded.

How to apply

Please read all the information and the eligibility criteria in the Capacity Grant Application Form, then apply online or complete, sign and submit this form by Friday, 20 October 2017.

What happens next?

We will assess the application and let you know the outcome by Friday, 17 November 2017 after which a Grant Offer will be made.  Once the Grant Offer has been signed and returned to us, funds can be transferred to your account.

If you’re not successful, we’ll provide you with feedback.
