Scottish Biodiversity Duty Report (2015 – 2017)
This report is a requirement of all public bodies as set out in the Wildlife and Natural Environment (Scotland) Act (2011). It is a useful summary of three years’ biodiversity-related work in the National Park, our key achievements and also our actions to help contribute to each aspect of Scotland’s 2020 Challenge for Biodiversity.
The report looks at how we have raised awareness of biodiversity issues within the National Park, worked with communities to enhance biodiversity and lastly how we have incorporated biodiversity into corporate policy, plans and projects – including the Wild Park 2020 project, the National Park Partnership Plan and our Corporate Plan.
