Balloch Castle – Consultation Event

Are you interested in the future of  Balloch Castle? What would you like the building to be? Do you have any ideas or thoughts on how it can be re-used? Please come along and have your say!

West Dunbartonshire Council are hosting a drop-in event on Wednesday 1 March, between 3-7 pm, at the National Park Headquarters, Carrochan, Carrochan Road, G83 8EG.

Following 2016’s “Live in Balloch” charrette process where the community identified key priorities for the future of Balloch, West Dunbartonshire Council  has recently appointed a team of architects and economists to investigate new uses for Balloch Castle in Balloch Country Park. A public drop-in event is being held as part of this work and the Council wants to encourage anybody interested in the future of this building to come along and contribute their ideas.

The property is much loved and an important historic listed building which the Council and local communities wish to see re-used in a long-term and sustainable manner. Repairs to the building are currently underway as a first phase of works.
