Exhibition of detailed plans for phase one: Village Square and Balloch Road West
West Dunbartonshire Council is inviting residents and businesses of Balloch to a public exhibition to give their views on the first phase of plans to transform Balloch Village.
When: Wednesday, 1st November between 3pm and 7pm
Where: National Park Headquarters
Following public engagement led by Sustrans between September 2016 and June 2017, outline designs for Village Square, Station Square and Balloch Road West were shared with the community.
Since then, West Dunbartonshire Council has been leading on the project and detailed layouts have been produced for Phase 1: Village Square and Balloch Road West.
What is phase one?
Phase 1 will include the introduction of traffic calming and formalised parking bays along Balloch Road West and the creation of a Village Square. Quality materials, raised tables and traffic calming measures will create a sense of place with the potential to encourage further activity like seasonal markets and performances.
These significant improvements will create a more attractive environment for local residents and visitors to Balloch.
The Station Square project will be delivered later as Phase 2.
