The Development Plan Scheme explains how we will prepare our Development Plan for the National Park in an inclusive and open manner. It outlines:

• The process and timescales for progressing the Finalised Draft Local Plan through to adoption and thereafter, the proposed timescales for preparing a new local Development Plan;
• What is involved at each stage of the process; and
• Opportunities for consultation and involvement in the Development Plan preparation process and the methods we will use to involve the public in this.

Update - 17 February 2010

Please note the Development Plan Scheme requires to be updated to reflect the consultation on the Finalised Draft Local Plan (19 February - 6 April 2010). This will be undertaken and re-issued after the close of the consultation when it will be possible to more accurately identify the forward timetable.
