If your application is refused then you either have a right of appeal or review. Where decisions are made by the National Park Planning and Access Committee, appeals are made to the Scottish Government. Where decisions are made by a National Park Authority Planning Officer (a delegated decision), that appeal will be heard by the National Park Authority’s Local Review Body.

You can apply for an appeal or review via the Scottish Government website and you can apply for a local review via the Scottish Government eplanning website. Before completing the form please ensure you are following the correct procedure. you will find out more information about Appeals and Local Reviews on the Scottish Government appeal advice page or you can contact us on or 01389 722024.
