Our Adopted Local Plan and its supplementary guidance help guide planning decisions, making sure that new development is of the highest quality, is in the right places and delivers the aspirations of our communities, and the aims of the National Park.
Plans are updated every five years and we’re currently in the process of creating our next plan, which will be adopted at the end of 2016.

This Report summarises the Strategic Environment Assessment (SEA) for our Local Plan. It is required under the Environmental Assessment (Scotland) Act 2005 to determine the environmental effects of implementing the plan. View report.
This Habitats Regulations Appraisal accompanies the Adopted Local Plan. It takes into account the Reporters‟ recommended modifications following their consideration of unresolved issues, including the changes commended to them by us, as well as corrections, updates and consequential amendments.
