Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park - Welcome

Notice to Mariners

During the winter period we are carrying out a maintenance regime for the hazard buoys, navigation buoys and also the speed marks on Loch Lomond.
 
This will entail lifting marks and replacing risers where necessary. We will also be painting fins and replacing lights as required. Any buoys that need to be removed from their stations will be replaced with a temporary orange mooring buoy (pictured). These will be recorded below:
 

Notices

  • The Isolated Danger Mark at Ross Dhu Bank has no top mark on it at present; this will be replaced over the winter.
  • Luss pontoons has been removed for the winter period.
  • The Port Lateral Mark at Little Ireland is now lit. The sequence is: Fl(1).R.10s.
  • The South Cardinal Mark from the southern end of Inchmurrin is off station. Please take extra care in this area at present until the buoy has been replaced.
