Communications Adviser

Closing date: midnight on Sunday 25th November 2018.

Wanted: a gifted storyteller to help us bring the story of Scotland’s first National Park to life.

  • Job Title: Communications Adviser
  • Salary: £25,071 – £29,329 plus excellent benefits
  • Working Hours: 37 hours per week
  • Contract: 1 year fixed term
  • Location: Carrochan Road, Balloch

Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park covers 720 sq miles of magnificent countryside, where the highlands meet the lowlands, yet within easy reach of Scotland’s Central Belt.

The National Park has great environmental, economic and social importance for the whole of Scotland and with priorities covering access, tourism, planning, climate change and community engagement, the place is never short of stories to tell.

We are looking for a Communications Adviser to help us tell those stories, whether it’s of the 15,000 people who live within the National Park boundaries; the experiences enjoyed by more than four million visitors every year; or the important role we play in conserving and enhancing this special place.

The Communications Adviser will focus on creating engaging, high quality communications content. In this role you’ll bring relevant experience from a communications/marketing background to allow you to develop and deliver communications across digital, print and face to face engagement.

With excellent written skills, your copywriting will be top notch: you’ll know how to engage and inspire, and you’ll have that crucial eye for detail. As a natural communicator you can easily demonstrate your experience of tailoring messages and communications to the needs of your audience.

You’ll be used to forward planning and thinking strategically to help align communications with key corporate objectives.

Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park Authority is more than just a great place to work, it’s an organisation that is ambitious and innovative, where our people can make a real difference. Our Balloch headquarters is within easy reach of both Glasgow and Stirling, with ample car parking onsite, a cycle to work scheme and a train station nearby. Staff members can also take advantage of a wide range of staff benefits, a great pension scheme and flexible working hours.

Please email all completed application forms to by midnight on Sunday 25th November 2018.
