Job Title: Development Monitoring Officer
Salary: £24,285 – £26,374 per annum (Band B)
Working Hours: 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Location: Balloch – with hybrid working model in place
We’re looking for a Development Monitoring Officer within our Development Management Service.
The National Park has been seeing an unprecedented level of development activity in recent years. From a gold mine to affordable housing developments, run of river hydro schemes, major hotel development and new campsites there has been a lot going on. Our Local Development Plan sets out an ambitious and exciting vision for the Park Authority.
You will provide technical assistance for the successful delivery of an efficient and outcome focused development management service, specifically through administrating the pre-start requirements associated with planning permissions. You will be checking the commencement of development and monitoring progress during construction ensuring appropriate planning control.
You will be well organised and have an awareness of the planning function along with excellent written and oral skills – along with the ability to accurately interpret drawings and other planning documents to undertake inspections.
