Job Title: Development & Support Manager
Salary: £39,178 – £45,667 per annum (Band E)
Working Hours: 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Contract: Permanent
Location: Balloch – with hybrid working model in place

The role:

We’re looking for a Manager within our Development Management Service.

This is a rare opportunity for a managerial role delivering key aspects of our statutory planning work within a National Park setting. The main responsibilities include oversight of casework management, administration support services, ensuring our processes and systems work efficiently along with monitoring our performance against agreed targets and outcomes.

We receive a very diverse range of development proposals across the National Park, from significant tourism, housing and visitor infrastructure development to more smaller developments and those seeking to securing benefits and improvements for nature and climate change. It’s an exciting time to join us.

Working closing with staff from across the organisation, you will be responsible for leading and motivating a high performing team, which includes Planning Assistants and our Support team.  You should have an excellent understanding of how this area of work can deliver for the Park Authority along with good organisational skills.

Who we are looking for:

Your skills, abilities and experience should include:

  • Degree qualified in Planning or similar, you will have a proven track record in a planning environment.
  • Excellent people management skills, with the ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, you will be a key player in ensuring we continue to deliver a high performing service for the benefit of the National Park area.
