Funding available to community groups in the National Park

11 October 2016

Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park is calling on constituted community groups in the National Park – including Community Development Trusts and Community Councils – to get in touch to find out about this year’s National Park Community Grant Scheme.

There are two types of grants available to help community groups fund their efforts to improve communities:

The Moving Forward Grant of up to £5,000 is to help communities progress projects that are part of their Community Action Plan.

This is to help progress more ambitious Community Action Plan projects such as:

  • Delivery of local services,
  • taking control of local buildings/land, or
  • becoming self-sustaining by generating income through social enterprise.

This Grant offers constituted community groups in the National Park the opportunity to apply for up to £5,000 to fund discrete pieces of work that will help them take the next step to make their project happen.

Applications need to submit an Expression of Interest Form for the Moving Forward Grant by the 7th November 2016.

The second grant available is the Capacity Grant of up to £500.

This is an administration grant for Community Development Trusts to help with administration costs for supporting and developing their organisation.

Capacity Grant applications must be submitted before 5pm on 12th December 2016.

You can read the guidelines on eligibility for these grants and submit an application here.
