After a busy summer, we have finished reviewing the representations received to the Proposed Plan and are at an advanced stage in preparing for the next steps.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to make submissions. We are chuffed that through extensive consultation, with the exception of a couple of sites in Callander and Drymen, the majority of folk support the proposals within the Plan.
We have recommended numerous minor changes to the Plan in light of the submissions. The National Park Authority Board will consider the recommendations at its meeting on the 26th October. A full copy of all representations to the Plan, in a Verbatim Report, along with any supporting documents submitted is also available. You can view the details of the meeting.
Following this, the Plan, with copies of all the outstanding representations, will go to Scottish Ministers for an independent examination of all the key changes sought to the Plan.
This review will be done by a Reporter from the Directorate for Planning and Environmental Appeals who will make more detailed reports available on their website. The Directorate will also receive full copies of all representations submitted along with supporting documents.
We are hoping to make our submission to the Reporter at the end of 2015. Examinations tend to take up to six months to complete, which would take us up to May 2016. The end goal is to have the Plan adopted by December 2016.
Please note that the examination does not include comments made to Supplementary or Planning Guidance associated with the Plan. Guidance will be adopted following the adoption of the Plan but will form a material consideration in the interim period. We will progress draft Guidance in light of comments made to them.
The Board meeting will be held at National Park offices in Balloch on October 26th 2015.
