2nd-prize-The-Lodge-Ewan-Walker

"This was taken on 27/12/18. At The Lodge, Aberfoyle. I took this photo just down stream from the waterfall at the lodge. As a family we had gone for a walk on one of the trails and I thought this made a great picture. I love how vivid green the sides are."

1st prize (13 – 17 years), Kathryn Birnie

"Since August 2018 I have taken part in a youth development group called the oot scoot and aboot group. As part of the programme I took part in a photography workshop in Balmaha on the 4th of December. Our day at Balmaha allowed us to explore and capture the nature that was around us. It also allowed us to be free and express our personalities through art. This picture is called "Winter glow".

2nd-prize-Winter-Brooke-Dickinson

"Winter. It is one of the best times of year, and I absolutely love taking pictures of the texture of the snow."

3rd prize (13 – 17 years), Catriona Manders

"I've gone to the sailing club in my village (where this photo was taken) for as long as I can remember, and it's importance to me has grown as I have. On this particular day, I had taken my visiting friend down to the pier for a chat and even on the bleakest of days, the beauty of this place didn't go unnoticed by her or me."

1st-prize-Queen-Elizabeth-Forest-Park-Connor-Birnie

"This photo was taken at the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park round Loch Ard. I went on this walk with two of my friends and always love finding walks where you walk through the middle of massive trees in the middle of the forests. I really love this segment of the walk because it just makes you feel so small but in a good way ????."

young-people-photo-competition-image-of-ben-venue-mountain-covered-by-snow-reflecting-like-a-mirror-in-loch-achray-below-blue-skies-above

2nd prize (18 – 26 years), Beth Scott

"This photograph was taken on the shore of Loch Achray one crisp, frosty morning last winter [...]. Looking across the flat calm loch, the reflection of Ben Venue was perfectly captured in the water. My mum and I were on our way to climb Ben A'an, a lovely wee hill only a short distance from our home in Callander. [...]. This photo reminds me of the beauty that can be found around every corner within the National Park."

3rd-prize-Beinn-Dubh-Matus-Gallik

"I came to Glasgow to study which was a hard time for me, leaving everything behind. Fortunately, I've had great people in my life who stuck around and came to visit me [...] These photos provided are of two dire moments. One is when I felt I couldn't take it anymore, being away from everybody and one of my best friends came to visit me in January to climb Beinn Dubh. Through this experience, Beinn Dubh has remained my escape and connection point to my friends back home."
