Martin Earl was appointed to the Board on 1 October 2022, following nomination by Stirling Council. Martin has served on the Board previously as both a Local Authority nominee (2012-17) and as a locally-elected Member (2018-22).
Martin was first elected to represent the Trossachs & Teith Ward in 2012. Prior to that he had been Chair of Trossachs Community Council and Strathyre Primary School Parent Council.
Martin had his own small business specialising in out-of-print books, and has served terms on the boards of the National Park, Active Stirling, Rural Stirling Housing Association and The Smith Art Gallery and Museum. Martin lives in Brig O’Turk near Callander.
Martin was elected Depute Convener of the Board in December 2022, serving until December 2025.
