Work underway to remove Bracklinn Bridge

Update 23/12/2021:

Please note that Bracklinn Bridge has been removed so the full Bracklinn Circuit walk cannot be completed.  You can still walk to Bracklinn Falls but there is no access to the east side of the Falls.

Kenny Auld, Head of Visitor Services at Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park Authority, said:

“The process to remove and replace the Bracklinn Bridge in Callander is now underway, with contractors on site this week to begin taking down the existing bridge.

“This follows specialist engineering and timber surveys, which identified areas of deterioration and advised that replacing the current structure would be the safest course of action.

“The work to remove the bridge is likely to last until January and we are advising residents and visitors to avoid the site until it is complete.  Suggestions for alternative walks in the Callander area and elsewhere in the National Park can be found in the ‘things to do’ section of our website.

“We plan to have a new Bracklinn Bridge in place in 2022.”
