Bobby Good

Bobby Good was appointed to the Park Authority Board on the 4th June 2020 by Scottish Ministers following nomination by Argyll and Bute Council.

Bobby Good grew up in Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire. In his younger days he spent a lot of time in and around Loch Lomond camping and fishing with his dad and brother and it left him with a love of the area. He moved to Dunoon in 2006 and met and married a local girl. His vocation was long distance coach driving and he has twenty years’ experience in driving all over the UK on public service provision and this led to progression into management in the industry. He took over as Transport Manager for the local bus service provider West Coast Motors looking after services in Cowal in 2012 and this was extended to include Bute depot a couple of years later. His big passion in this was good customer service and employee relations.

He is interested in transport links and thinks these are vitally important to rural areas and is committed to improving these links in this part of Scotland. Since moving here he has taken up hill running with the local running club. He is Area Chair for the Bute & Cowal Area Committee and enjoys this role very much as it gives him the opportunity to make a difference. He really enjoys working with local community groups and assisting them to enhance the area and attract tourists.
