Daisy grew up in Callander and attended McLaren High School. Having spent her life within the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, she has developed a strong appreciation for the area’s landscapes, wildlife and communities, and is passionate about helping to protect them for future generations.
Daisy graduated with a degree in Animal and Conservation Biology. Through her studies, she gained experience in ecology, biodiversity monitoring, environmental assessment and scientific research, developing a strong understanding of the environmental challenges and opportunities facing Scotland today.
Daisy’s interest in conservation began through participation in the National Park’s Junior Ranger programme, where she developed a passion for environmental stewardship and public engagement. She is committed to ensuring that local voices are represented in decisions affecting the future of the National Park and its communities.
Daisy has worked in landscape gardening in and around Callander and has gained practical experience in horticulture and maintaining outdoor spaces. Her work has also allowed her to build relationships with local residents and gain a greater understanding of the people and communities who live within the National Park.
As a new Board Member, Daisy is excited to build on her existing knowledge and experience while learning new skills and gaining a deeper understanding of the work of the National Park Authority. She looks forward to working collaboratively with fellow Board Members, staff and local communities, and to making a positive contribution to the future of the National Park.
