Proposed Plan consultation: Week 2 summary

Well, we’ve reached the end of week 2 of the consultation on our new Proposed Local Development Plan. Have you looked at it yet?

Over the course of this week we’ve had calls and people dropping into the office to ask about some proposed sites and proposals – it’s great to know that people are aware of the plan and are engaging in the process! We met this week with Callander Community Councillors who have been very busy advising people about the plan and what’s proposed for Callander. We’re also aware that many other local Community Councillors are also responding to questions about the plan and we really appreciate the work that local Community Councillors do in helping to promote the consultation and help to respond to queries.

We are also keen to get out and about and speak to people directly ourselves, so this week we’ve been busy organising drop in events with communities who have expressed an interest in an event. These will be run as informal drop in sessions, so anyone can come along and speak with us on an informal, one to one basis. We will be able to respond to queries, answer questions and advise on how to get involved in the consultation and make a representation. Confirmed dates are:-

  • Drymen Drop In Session:-  2nd June from 3-7pm in Drymen Village Hall
  • Callander Drop In Session:- 11th June from 3-8pm in St Kessogs
  • Buchanan Drop In Session:-  16th June from 3-8pm in Balmaha Visitor Centre

We’re also proposing to be at or organise other meetings, including

  • Arrochar Community Council meeting on the 18th June (TBC)
  • Planning Agents Forum 24th June (TBC)
  • Secondary Schools (TBC)
  • Partner organisations – SNH, SEPA, Stirling Council

If you have a view or want to let us know about any other meetings that you think we should know about or attend, please let us know by emailing hello@ourlivepark.com

The Draft Developer Contributions Planning Guidance has been re-published and updated by adding an additional page at the end of the document to clarify the application of contributions in certain circumstances. The additional ‘page 12’ relates to habitat quality guidelines. This has not changed the guidance. This update has already been made and can be viewed here.

There have been some enquires regarding our overall timeline for how and when this Plan will be finalised. We are required to prepare a separate document that provides an overview of this and we have just published an update. This is our Development Plan Scheme; copies will also be able to view in libraries and our offices. We hope this document helps answer these questions.

Please do keep your questions coming by emailing the team at hello@ourlivepark.com

More details to follow in next week’s blog!
