Volunteers really make a difference. They are really important to the success of the National Park – they are an inspiration, giving valuable time to enhance the National Park for people and wildlife.

During 2015, our volunteers contributed 14,500 hours towards helping visitors, habitats and species, and improving paths and infrastructure.

Discover volunteering

We are part of a network of organisations supporting volunteers across the National Park and our volunteers have two distinct roles: volunteer rangers who are tasked with inspiring our visitors, supporting fun events and helping with educational activities; and practical conservation volunteers who carry out more hands-on practical work such as maintaining our paths, removing invasive plants and helping to protect sensitive environments.
