Our inspirational volunteers make a huge difference to the National Park, giving their valuable time they support our innovative conservation projects, enhance our visitors experiences and help to protect the fragile habitats and dramatic landscapes for future generations.
During 2017 our brilliant volunteers contributed 14,000 hours towards keeping our paths in good condition, protecting species and helping communities to thrive in the National Park.
Our volunteer fulfil two distinct roles for the National Park:
• The ‘visitor and people’ focused, Volunteer Rangers and
• The more ‘hands on’ Practical Conservation Volunteers
Both of the roles are really valuable and the variety of experiences means that our volunteers can find something that they love being involved with.
