On 2nd April 2025 a new payment service provider (Gov.UK Pay) was introduced for planning application fees.
For planning applications submitted on or after 2nd April 2025, payments should be made via the Gov.UK Pay platform. If you or your agent have submitted a planning application, and you have received an email with a link to pay the planning fee, or to pay an outstanding fee, please refer to the email sent to you and use the link provided on the email to make the payment. You will receive a receipt and confirmation email from Gov.UK Pay. Please do not use the PayPal option below.
For applications submitted prior to 2nd April 2025, you can still pay online by credit and debit card using PayPal below, entering your application number and payment fee amount. You will receive a receipt and confirmation email from PayPal. You do not need to have a PayPal account to use this facility.
If you are applying for a Non-Material Variation please enter the original planning application reference number followed by NMV e.g. 2022/0xxx/DET NMV. The fee for this is £40 for householder applications (reference ending in HAE); £200 for all other applications.
