Junior Rangers

The National Park Junior Ranger Project is an exciting, fun and adventurous outdoor learning programme for young people aged 11-18 years.

Activities take place on weekends and during school holidays throughout the year and at different locations across Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park.

As a Junior Ranger you could find yourself:

  • Taking part in Junior Ranger exchanges and camps
  • Surveying for wildlife
  • Planting trees
  • Helping the Rangers at our Visitor Centre
  • Participating in fun events

Visiting Tyndrum Pinewoods

By joining our Junior Ranger Programme you will:

  • Make new friends
  • Develop and learn new skills
  • Discover lots of amazing wildlife
  • Learn about the National Park Ranger Service and what being a Ranger involves
  • Build your confidence
  • Work towards gaining a John Muir Award
  • Have fun in the outdoors!

This scheme is part of the EUROPARC Junior Ranger Programme, which was launched in 2002 to help young people to connect with their peers across Europe.
