Plans to to deliver Future Nature aims of protecting, restoring and connecting a core network of our nature-rich National Park are being explored through a multi-year National Lottery bid.
Working alongside Loch Lomond & The Trossachs Countryside Trust and RSPB Scotland, the National Park Authority are preparing a Future Nature Landscape Connections Initiative to help National Park Partnership Plan delivery.
The initiative aims to create an exemplar of nature restoration by addressing shared threats and opportunities to three National Park landscape partnerships:
Connecting a living network of nature and people will unlock the Future Nature Route Map to building thriving communities and businesses, as well as engaging and inspiring visitors, as the keystone to creating long-term guardians.
An initial National Lottery bid is planned to be submitted later in 2025 which aims to secure the funding to carry out a more detailed two-year Development Phase, before a potential eight-year Delivery Phase.
