Inchcailloch summit
Inchcailloch is a small island located on Loch Lomond and accessible via a boat from Balmaha and the waterbus from Luss. The island is part of a National Nature Reserve and boasts lovely woodlands, a chance to spot wildlife and fantastic views over the loch.

A waymarked trail offers a fairly easy-going circuit of the isle with the highest point at 85m giving a superb viewpoint. A panorama on a fine day takes in the peaks of many mountains and hills close to Loch Lomond, including the iconic outline of Ben Lomond.

Did you know that Inchcailloch and several other islands in the loch lie on the Highland Boundary Fault, which separates the Scottish Highlands from the Lowlands?
